my story on “Post Traumatic Stress Disorders” and how it made me a target at my job
HOW CAN ANY MOTHER GET OVER THE MURDER OF HER CHILD AND BE ABLE TO FUNCTION AT THE WORKPLACE WHEN FACING THE STIGMA OF MURDER? 2005
After 15 years of loyalty at KABC Talk Radio/Disney, I was targeted and pushed out of my job due to the stigma of murder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The cruel mental games, physical shock of their actions has crushed me. Not only has the shooter for gangs taken away my child, my soul, my bright light for life, new management, with gang like tactics at KABC Talk Radio/ Disney has taken away my chance for a future in the workplace. The tactics used by KABC Talk Radio’s new management to make me leave my job, has traumatized me and made me sick, with upper management looking the other way. 14 months of enduring management's gang mentally, has destroyed my piece of mind and had turned my safe haven at my workplace into a place of horrors. It should be a law against taking employees, especially a grieving mother who has lost her child, into a room, behind closed doors with upper management and a corporate attorney who ask stupid questions such as, "have you ever used the word fuck", and bring out e mails that I have written and ask me "do you always type in caps, when sending e mails" daah...of course I use caps in e mailing within or out of the company, I have been typing commercial copy for 15 years, that requires caps, so talent can read it easily on air. Another question, "why didn't a certain client get his/her invoice at the end of the month or first of the following month"....daah .... the month wasn't over and that contract was still running.. daah... I don't print out invoices, the business office does that, and they can't be mailed out until they print them, I have no control over that"....daah... These upper management employees don't even know how their own company runs. They did not know how to nail me on anything so they could fire me. They tried many times to create a case against me, but could not. I did a good job, and my attendance was very good. Management became so frustrated that they started to bombard me with accusations. Once while working at my desk and facing my computer, one manager had sneaked up on me twice to see what was on my screen and scared me, which would cause shock to go through out my body. I am already suffering from PTSD, I did not need that. My psychiatrist had written numerous letters regarding my condition. That manager should have been fired. That same manager saw my child's picture on my computer; he totally flipped out on me. The picture of my murdered child was being used for the KABC/GLENDALE COMMUNITY COLLEGE "TERESA DEL RIO SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION annual awards dinner. It was started by a former KABC / KLOS GENERAL MANAGER. Believe me, those managers are not the brightest when dealing with employees. To punish me, the manager sent me a memo, and to play it safe, sent the same memo to other support staff employees, saying from now on support staff have to sign in and out of a ten minute breaks. The sign up sheet was near the manager's office. No support staff adhered to that memo. I decided not to take anymore breaks so I could avoid any problems. I sat for 10 working days at my computer except for lunch and visiting the ladies room and developed a painful migraine. I became so ill that I broke down and went to a neurologist who gave me a brain scan and medication. I also reported the break memo to my union and that put management in a rage. Management had to send me a memo stating that their break rule was being withdrawal. That made the hit on me a priority for them. Management started to recruit other employees who I worked with and had a good working relationship with to make complaints about me. This was all an inside job. In fear of them being targeted and losing their jobs they had to comply. I honestly don't blame them, and I truly forgive them. The trauma that management inflicted on me caused me to become sicker. I could not fight this corporate gang and the violent gang member that murdered my child at the same time, what human being can? I fought like hell to keep my job. I tried to talk to another manager about what was going on, and he cut me off and said, “Get over it”. The cruel psychological games that were played on me, while I was grieving, should be outlawed in corporate America. My salvation is praying to God to relieve me of that pain that KABC/Disney has inflicted on me. They will never know the damage they have done to me. May God forgive them.

TERESA BECAME A SPIRIT AFTER 1/2 HOUR AFTER THE DOCTORS DECLARED HER DEAD. SHE DIED AT 5:30AM IN SURGERY. AT 6:00AM TERESA CALLED HER GIRLFRIEND, AMY, TO TELL HER NOT TO PICK HER UP FOR SCHOOL THAT MONDAY MORNING, BECAUSE "SHE (TERESA) HAD SOMETHING TO DO" AMY DID NOT KNOW SHE WAS SPEAKING TO TERESA'S SPIRIT.
MANY FRIENDS , SHE WAS GIVING AND TRUSTING TO THOSE WHO SHE LOVED WHETHER THEY WERE OLD OR NEW FRIENDS.
